My son, my precious baby boy, is in trouble. His health is in jeopardy. He has a staph infection in the knee he just had surgery on, thrush, strep throat and something else that I can't share right now. Please pray for him. My heart is breaking. I love both of my boys more than life itself. He is a grown man but he is still my baby. As a mother the love for your children grows deeper and deeper the older they get. I thought when they were babies that my heart would burst from love for them but it truly does grow as they do. I prayed for God to take the cup from Matt and give it to me and then I heard Mark Schultz in concert tonight and he told us the story of the song he wrote titled "He's my Son". Mark was a youth pastor and a 7th grade boy at his church was diagnosed with cancer. His father told Mark that he prayed daily for his son and one night Mark was up late into the night and God gave him this song. When he sang it tonight tears streamed down my face as I thought of my son. He's not just anyone, he's my son. Please pray for him. Please.
"He's My Son" by Mark Schultz
I'm down on my knees again tonight
I'm hoping this prayer will turn out right
See there is a boy that needs Your help
I've done all that I can do myself
His mother is tired I'm sure You can understnad
Each night as he sleeps
She goes in to hold his hand
And she tries not to cry
As the tears fill her eyes
CHORUS:
Can You hear me?
Am I getting through tonight?
Can You see him?
Can You make him feel all right?
If You can hear me Let me take his place somehow
See, he's not just anyone He's my son
Sometimes late at night I watch him
sleep I dream of the boy he'd like to be
I try to be strong and see him through
But God who he needs right now is You
Let him grow old Live life without this fear
What would I be Living without him here
He's so tired and he's scared
Let him know that You're there
CHORUS
Can You hear me? Can You see him?
Please don't leave him He's my son
This is my place to record my random thoughts and sometimes what's bugging me!
